We are as excited as you are to see the only reptile show in Northern Ireland.
Update
As we pass the first anniversary of Northern Irelands first ever reptile show, I want to wish all our supporters a very happy and restful Easter.
At the present time, there are no confirmed plans for another show, however ideas and plans are still being explored.
We are being hindered by the animal welfare laws in Northern Ireland that were not updated in line with those in England, Scotland and Wales. To have these laws updated from the current 1972 version will require extensive lobbying to government, which given my other commitments and personal health just now, I simply do not have the time or energy to pursue myself.
However, as I’ve said, other ideas are being explored and any outcomes will be shared in due course, but these things do take time to plan and develop properly. Indeed the first show here was almost three years in planning before it happened.
I can only apologise that it is not the news many were hoping for but very much a ‘down not out’ situation, baring in mind any progress we can make is for the good of not just ourselves, but every person breeding or selling any animals in Northern Ireland
